It's the question every smart-home forum asks — and the honest answer is yes, for most of the lights in the house. LED downlights, strips and pendants sit comfortably inside a PoE port's power budget, and a home's worth of Cat6 runs is a routine cabling job when the walls are open.
The practical design puts living areas, bedrooms and outdoor security lighting on the network, and leaves high-draw fittings — bathroom heat lamps, oven lights — on conventional circuits. You get per-light control where it matters without forcing PoE where it doesn't.

Sometimes. It comes down to ceiling access for the Cat6 runs — accessible roof space makes it realistic, closed cavities usually mean waiting for a reno. Send photos of your roof space with your enquiry and we'll tell you straight.
The PoE lights and their cabling are extra-low voltage — fed over Cat6 from a switch that plugs into a normal outlet. Decommissioning existing 240V fittings is electrician work, and we coordinate it as one job.
Same as normal lights — unless the switch is on a small UPS, which keeps selected lights, cameras and Wi-Fi running through short outages. Cheap add, quoted by default.
Driven by how many lights go on the network and how the cable gets there. New builds are cheapest because the walls are open. Site walk and written quote are free, and the quote is fixed.
